After the onboarding process is finalized, MyInstructor will have the necessary information to send payments to Instructors. Requests for payment withdrawal can be made at any time, and they will start processing the following week on Tuesday (week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday). 

*Note: For a payment withdrawal to be requested, the Instructor has to have a minimum balance of $150 in their account. (payments will arrive in the Instructor’s bank account in 3-5 business days after processing begins)

Each Instructor should have a clear cancelation policy in place, in case a Learner needs to cancel their booked appointment. This has to be shown in each skill listing that they instruct, so the learner is aware and needs to use it. The instructor will include the minimum hours before the session that they allow 100% refund and the minimum hours before the session that they allow 50% refund. If the Learner cancels the booking after the time set for 50% refund, the refund request will not be accepted.

Instructors using MyInstructor platform are not employees and shall not be treated as such in any aspect. Any Instructor using our platform will be representing themselves as their own entity, and will use our platform only as a means of marketing their services and facilitating the payment transactions between a Learner and themselves.

MyInstructor will play an impartial role to help resolve the issue. Both parties will be heard, and it is at MyInstructor’s sole discretion to remediate the situation. If any issues arise, please feel free to contact us at support@myinstructor.expert

The Instructor has the choice of making a session available Online, at Instructor’s location or at Learner’s location. We highly suggest that all sessions be held Online, if that is possible. If not, it is highly suggested that all sessions are held in a public setting. If the Instructor has to go to an unfamiliar location, we suggest that you notify a family member of your whereabouts at all times.

All bookings will be adjusted to Eastern Time Zone. If you are located in a different time zone, please convert your availability to match EST.

Besides the skill listing fee (where applicable), MyInstructor will charge a commission of 10% plus $3 for each booking made through our platform. This fee is used to run our platform, as well as facilitate payments from Learners. Instructors are free to choose to accept payments offsite for bookings, however MyInstructor is unable to offer any protection for loss of funds.
